Setup

Three offensive players: a wing with the ball, a baseline screener on one block and a cutter in the opposite corner. Three defenders match up.

How it runs

  1. The screener sets a baseline screen for the cutter coming across the lane.
  2. The screener's defender calls the screen and bumps the cutter to slow him down.
  3. The cutter's defender goes over the screen on the top side and beats the cutter to the block.
  4. Once the cutter's defender is in position, the bump defender recovers to his own man, who may flash to the elbow.
  5. Play live for 10 seconds.

Coaching point

Call the screen early.
