Basket at the top. Orange circles: offense, X: defense, wavy line: dribble, dashed line: pass.

Setup

Two players stand at the free-throw line facing the rim; a coach stands under the basket with the ball.

How it runs

  1. The coach throws the ball off the backboard and both players go up for it.
  2. Whoever comes down with it is on offense and drives the full court to the far basket; the other sprints back and defends.
  3. The moment the shot goes up the ball is free again, make or miss, and both players attack it.
  4. Whoever wins it becomes the new attacker and heads back the other way, even if it is the same player twice.

Coaching point

Land with the ball chinned and turn straight up the floor — no dribble before the first sprint.
