Setup

Two attackers start at half court with the ball. One defender waits between them and the basket.

How it runs

  1. The attackers advance the ball and attack the basket together.
  2. Whoever has the ball reads the defender: score if unguarded, pass if the defender commits.
  3. The offence scores a point for a made basket.
  4. The defender scores for a steal, a rebound off a miss, or holding the pair scoreless for about twenty seconds.

Coaching point

Attack the defender's inside shoulder; a lazy angle lets one defender cover both attackers.
