Setup

Two lines form along the baseline with a coach standing under the basket holding a ball.

How it runs

  1. The coach rolls the ball out onto the floor.
  2. Both players sprint to a marked spot on the court, then turn and chase the ball.
  3. Whoever gets it is on offense and the other is on defense.
  4. Play one-on-one until the offense scores or the defense secures the rebound.

Coaching point

The ball is picked up in a scoop and gather, not a swipe – a bobble hands it to the other player.
