Setup

A chair sits on the three-point line and a passer waits near the elbow. The shooter starts under the basket.

How it runs

  1. Score a power lay-up to open the rep.
  2. Backpedal as if transitioning to defence until the chair appears in your peripheral vision.
  3. Curl around the chair, attack the opposite elbow and catch a pass for a jump shot.
  4. Make or miss, get your own rebound and finish a lay-up with no dribble, then backpedal and go again.
  5. End the set on a number of shots taken or a number made.

Coaching point

Seeing the chair in your peripheral vision is the cue to turn, so no peeking over the shoulder.
