Setup

Lie on your back under the backboard, positioned at about forty-five degrees to the glass and the rim.

How it runs

  1. Keep your back on the floor – you may lift your head, nothing else – and shoot a real bank shot off the glass.
  2. Try to make five in a row before getting up.
  3. Focus on the release and the follow-through rather than on whether it drops.
  4. Do it daily; the arms get stronger and the mechanics get cleaner at the same time.

Coaching point

With no legs available, every bit of accuracy comes from the hand and the release.
