Setup

The player stands a couple of steps from the rim, close enough that the shot is easy and the only concern is technique.

How it runs

  1. Shoot with the shooting hand only, holding the follow-through until the ball lands.
  2. Finish on the toes with the arm extended and the wrist relaxed over the rim.
  3. Get ten clean makes one-handed, then rest the guide hand lightly against the ball and get ten more.
  4. Take every shot slowly, with a full reset between each one.

Coaching point

Aim for a swish with no rim and no backboard, because a clean make is the feedback.
