Setup

Player stands under the rim with a ball, close enough to slap it off the backboard repeatedly.

How it runs

  1. Tap the ball hard against the backboard three times in a row without letting it drop.
  2. Gather on the third tap and power up to finish on one side of the rim.
  3. Repeat the taps and score on the other side.
  4. Alternate sides for the set.
  5. Variation: after three taps, pitch the ball out to a wing passer, post up above the block and finish a post move off the return pass.

Coaching point

Strong hands – the ball should snap off the board, not float.
