Setup

Wing and point guard on the perimeter, a post and post defender on the ball-side block. The defender starts in a strong side-front.

How it runs

  1. Wing cannot enter the fronted post and swings the ball to the top.
  2. As the ball leaves the wing, the post turns into the lane, steps between the defender's feet and pivots to put the defender on his back.
  3. Post ducks into the middle of the lane with a high target and the point guard feeds him immediately.
  4. If the duck-in is taken away, post walks the defender up and comes back to the block as the ball returns to the wing.
  5. Post scores with one move; perimeter players relocate for kick-outs.

Coaching point

The duck-in happens on the pass, not after it; timing beats strength.
