Setup

Five offense against a 2-3 zone. The coach calls which player will shoot after the ball has been reversed once.

How it runs

  1. Offense moves the ball until the called shooter gets a look.
  2. As the shooter lifts the ball to chin level, the other four begin moving to the glass, not when the ball is released.
  3. Zone defenders must find and block out whoever enters their area.
  4. Offense keeps playing on any offensive rebound; the defense must secure and outlet to the coach.
  5. Rotate the shooter each rep.

Coaching point

Start moving when the shooter starts the shot; release is too late.
