Setup

Two offensive rebounders and two defenders around the lane, plus a guard at the top who is unguarded. A coach shoots from the wing.

How it runs

  1. Coach shoots; rebounders crash and defenders box out.
  2. If an offensive player secures the rebound close in with room, he goes straight back up or shot-fakes and scores.
  3. If he secures it crowded by both defenders, he kicks the ball out to the guard for a reset three.
  4. After a kick-out, the guard may shoot; rebounders crash again.
  5. Play until a score or a defensive rebound.

Coaching point

Know where the ball is likely to land: most misses come off at the same or opposite angle.
