Basket at the top. Orange circles: offense, X: defense, wavy line: dribble, dashed line: pass.

Setup

2-on-2 high or side ball screen. Defense is told to go under or to force the ball away from the middle.

How it runs

  1. Screener sets the first screen; the ball defender goes under or jumps to one side.
  2. Handler takes one hard dribble off the screen, drawing the defender.
  3. Screener turns and sets a second screen on the defender, flipping the angle.
  4. Handler crosses back and turns the corner toward the rim before the big's defender can show.
  5. Play live; rotate roles.

Coaching point

The re-screen punishes a defender who is out of position from the first screen.
