Setup

2-on-2 side ball screen with a third offensive player in either the ballside corner or the opposite slot. The coach moves the third player before each rep.

How it runs

  1. Screener sprints to set a side ball screen.
  2. If his defender leaves early to show, he slips to the rim instead of finishing the screen.
  3. If the ballside corner is empty and his defender drops, he pops to the corner or arc for a catch-and-shoot.
  4. If the corner is filled, he rolls hard to the rim.
  5. Ball handler attacks first and reads which option the screener chose; play live to a finish.

Coaching point

Feel the defender: if contact disappears early, the lane to the rim is open.
