Setup

Five players on defense around the lane; coach shoots. After the rebound the team runs the break, and a coach at half court shows a hand signal naming which option is 'open'.

How it runs

  1. Rebound and outlet quickly to the point guard, who has called for the ball as the shot went up.
  2. Coach at half court flashes 1 to 4 fingers as the ball crosses: 1 = pass ahead to the wing, 2 = first big at the rim, 3 = skip to the far wing, 4 = trailer high-low.
  3. Players must see the signal and execute that option at full speed.
  4. After the shot, the group sprints back and the next five step in, or the same five run it back.
