Reverse Finish Away From the Shot Blocker

Use the rim to hide the ball from the shot blocker.

Setup

Driver starts on the wing, a shot blocker (coach or player with a pad) starts on the opposite block. The blocker slides across on the drive.

How it runs

  1. Driver attacks the baseline toward the rim.
  2. Blocker slides across to meet the driver on the near side of the rim.
  3. Driver keeps going under the basket and finishes on the far side, using the rim to shield the ball.
  4. Driver uses the hand farthest from the blocker.
  5. Switch to the other side after five reps.

Coaching point

Carry momentum under the rim so the blocker has to turn to follow you.
