Setup
A rebounder under the basket; one outlet guard at the wing; one rim runner at the free-throw line; one chaser defender behind the rim runner. Coach shoots.
How it runs
- The rebounder grabs the miss, turns in the air to the outside, and holds the ball at his ear.
- Read 1: if the rim runner is ahead of the chaser, throw the long pass to him in stride.
- Read 2: if the chaser is level, hit the outlet guard, who looks straight up the floor for the runner.
- Read 3: if the outlet is denied, the rebounder speed-dribbles out to the middle himself.
- Play to a finish at the far rim, then rotate positions.
Coaching point
The long pass is thrown ahead of the runner to his lead hand, not at him.
